3008 se od svojih predhodnikov nekoliko odmika po stilu vožnje. Ta namreč ni več tako mehka in udobna ampak bolj čvrsta, čeprav bi 3008 še vedno z lahkoto nastopal v oglasih za znane TV-žimnice. Kljub nekaj tršemu podvozju športni vozniki vseeno ne boste prišli na svoj račun, 3008 na noben način ni namenjen hitri vožnji čez ovinke. Za to je prevelik in pretežak, je pa bencinski motor vseeno zelo prijeten za uporabo, saj se rad vrti in ima povsem dovolj moči. S pomočjo turbine pridela 115 kilovatov in v povprečju porabi okoli devet do deset litrov na 100 kilometrov. Stopalka za plin je odzivna, moč se na cesto prenaša linearno, menjalnik pa deluje tekoče in športno hitro.
Francoski avtomobili postajajo večji in višji, kot da bi si Peugeot želel preskočiti razred. To se pozna tudi na ceni, ki je za testno vozilo presegla 26.000 evrov, kar po nobenih merilih ni malo. Če ga primerjamo z SUV-ji, ki so mu, kot že rečeno, še najbolj podobni, kmalu postane jasno, da pri konkurenci za skoraj enako ceno dobimo štirikolesni pogon in tretjo vrsto sedežev. Vendar s to primerjavo delamo napako. 3008 namreč nima konkurence; še vedno je edini predstavnik svoje vrste in to presneto dober. Avto, tako kot znani švicarski vojaški noži, za vse primere.
